Linguistics hosts 18th Annual NACLO competition

Brown University Linguistics hosted the North American Computational Linguistics Open Competition, a first for the academic program.

On January 25th, The Program in Linguistics at Brown University held the 18th annual North American Computational Linguistics Open Competition, an event that invites high school and middle school students to solve linguistics puzzles for a chance to compete in the NACLO Invite-Only round. If students do well in this second event, they may have the chance to compete internationally. Linguistics was honored to be given the chance to host, and attendees also received Brown University swag as well as information on the concentration. We look forward to next year's competition!
