Masako Fidler Presents With Colleagues

Secondary faculty member in Linguistics Masako Fidler presented twice with colleagues on her work with linguistics.

Masako Fidler, Professor of Slavic Studies and Professor of Linguistics at Brown University, has presented twice this year regarding her work in linguistics. On January 16th, 2025, Professor Fidler along with Janda, Laura A., Václav Cvrček, Gunhild Hoogensen Gjørv, and Anna Obukhova presented their paper titled “Beyond Words: Engaging Grammar for Insights into Political Discourse” at the Conference on Cross-Disciplinarity in Political Science: Research Insights and Perspectives. This event was held at the University of Tromsø, in Tromsø, Norway. On April 4th, 2025, she then participated in a workshop on digital humanities, corpus linguistic and AI methods for analyzing discourse with Václav Cvrček.
