Brown was well represented at CILLA, a conference bringing together scholars from across studying any topic relating to indigenous languages of the Americas. Scott AnderBois presented joint work with Jooyoung Lee titled "Demonstration and quotation: the case of A’ingae khen". Meg Harvey (Brown NAIS) presented joint work with Ryan Bennett (UCSC) and Robert Henderson (Arizona) titled "Phonetic variability in the realization of glottalized stops in Uspanteko (Mayan)". Additionally, as attested in the photo below, they got to see Maks Dąbkowski (AB 2019) presenting a paper titled "Base-dependent phonology in A'ingae subordination".
